Naseby has been identified as having some of the best night sky viewing in New Zealand, so when you look up at night you really do get that “wow” sensation.
One of only 2 towns in New Zealand to have a Dark Sky /3K accreditation for light pollution free night skies. This means the street lights in Naseby have a colour temperature of 3000deg Kelvin or less so the skies are nice and clear for star gazing. Fewer than 40 towns worldwide are on the list. The only other New Zealand town on the list is Martinborough.
